THREE DAY WORKSHOP
Monday, January 7th through Wednesday, January 9th, 2019
Break out the woolies and say goodbye to blasé images as you capture the essence of a Cape Cod in winter. The barren landscapes, migratory birds, harbors, beaches, light houses, wind swept dunes and hearty fishermen...all lit by the soft, low winter light.
Locations include the tip of Sandy Neck, Highland Light, Truro, Provincetown (in winter, yum), the Brewster flats, Rock Harbor and much more. Students will be challenged to use the advanced features on the camera and slow down to refine composition and produce artistic photographs.
We will follow the light, shooting early mornings, late afternoons and the night sky weather permitting. Rare access to the tip of Sandy Neck for an afternoon through sunset followed by a group dinner will surely make for a day to be remembered.
To balance out our time in the elements, lectures, lively discussions and photo critiques will be held at the very cozy Long Pasture.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of your camera and the desire to learn. Best if camera, with manual settings, is new in the last five years. Warm clothing.
